About PsiTransfer

PsiTransfer is a minimal self-hosted alternative to WeTransfer and similar services. You deploy it with Docker or Node.js, open its web page, drop files in, and get a download link you can share; there is no user database or registration. Uploads are resumable, so big files survive a dropped connection, and you can set a retention period, protect a bucket with a password and let recipients download everything as a single archive. Optional admin pages show what's stored, and an upload password stops strangers from using your instance. It is written in JavaScript, licensed under the BSD 2-Clause licence and maintained on GitHub. The simplicity is the point: there are no branding options, user roles or end-to-end encryption, and you are responsible for running and securing the server. It suits home-lab users and small teams who want something running in minutes.
