About Quadratic
Quadratic is a modern spreadsheet for technical users that runs in the browser. Alongside ordinary formulas, any cell can hold Python, SQL or JavaScript code whose output spills into the grid, so you can query a Postgres database, call an API, clean data with pandas and chart it in the same sheet. An AI agent writes formulas and code from plain-language requests, extracts data from PDFs and builds analyses, and connections cover databases and services such as QuickBooks, Google Analytics, Mixpanel and Plaid. Scheduled tasks, an API and an MCP server allow automation. It is aimed at analysts, finance teams, traders and engineers who find Excel limiting but do not want to move everything into notebooks. Pricing has a free personal plan, Pro and Business plans per user per month with bundled AI credits, and Enterprise with single sign-on and a self-hosting option. Large grids and heavy code can be slower than desktop Excel, and collaborators need some comfort with code to get the most out of it.
Best for: Analysts and engineers who want Python and SQL inside a spreadsheet grid.
