About Relay.app
Relay.app was a no-code workflow automation service, similar in spirit to Zapier and Make, that stood out for mixing automated steps with people. A workflow could pause for a teammate to approve, edit or fill in data before continuing, and AI steps could summarise, classify or draft text using large language models. It connected to common business apps such as Google Workspace, Slack, HubSpot and Notion and was sold as a web app with a free tier and paid plans. According to the notice on its own website, Relay.app shut down in September 2026 and all accounts, workflows and run history were permanently deleted, so it can no longer be used. Former users need to rebuild their automations elsewhere: Zapier and Make are the closest mainstream replacements, n8n and Activepieces offer open-source options, and AI-agent builders like Gumloop or Lindy cover the AI-heavy workflows.
