About Samsung Internet
Samsung Internet, now also branded Samsung Browser, is Samsung's own browser and the default on Galaxy phones and tablets, though it can be installed on most Android devices. It is built on Chromium, so sites render as in Chrome, but it adds features Chrome on Android lacks: support for content blockers from the Galaxy Store and Play Store, a Secret Mode with its own lock, biometric web login, a video assistant, a reader mode, dark mode for websites, and a highly configurable toolbar and menu. It also has smart anti-tracking and privacy dashboard features. Sync with Samsung accounts covers bookmarks and open tabs. Updates can trail Chrome's Chromium version slightly. It is free, available from the Galaxy Store and Google Play. It suits Android users, especially on Samsung devices, who want ad-blocking support and more customisation than Chrome offers on mobile.
Best for: Android users, especially on Galaxy devices, who want content blockers on mobile.
