About Teladoc Health
Teladoc Health is one of the largest virtual care companies in the US. Through its app or website, patients can see a doctor by phone or video at any hour for common illnesses, and book mental health visits, dermatology reviews, nutrition, primary care and programs for diabetes, hypertension and weight management. Many people get it through an employer or health plan, in which case visits can cost little or nothing; without coverage, urgent-care visits are paid per visit at a published price. The company also owns BetterHelp, the online therapy service, and offers it alongside its own mental health care. Teladoc suits people who want quick access to a clinician for non-emergency problems, especially if their insurer already includes it. It isn't a replacement for in-person or emergency care, and specialist visit prices are only shown after creating an account.
