About Talkspace

Talkspace is a US online mental health service offering therapy and psychiatry. It matches you with a licensed provider who is credentialed in your state, and you can talk over video, voice or live chat sessions plus unlimited messaging between sessions. Unlike most rivals it works directly with insurers including Aetna, Cigna, Anthem, Optum and TRICARE, and many members pay little or nothing beyond a copay; out-of-pocket plans are also available. Beyond individual adult therapy it covers couples therapy, teens aged 13 to 17, and psychiatric evaluation with medication management. You can switch providers at no extra cost. It suits US residents who want therapy, medication support or both and would like to use insurance. It runs on the web, iPhone and Android. Availability of some services and the price you pay depend heavily on your state and insurance plan.

Best for: US residents who want therapy or psychiatry covered by their insurance.
