About Amaha
Amaha is an Indian mental health provider that combines online therapy and psychiatry with physical centres and a self-help app. You can book a therapist or psychiatrist for a video session or visit one of its clinics in Bengaluru, Mumbai or Delhi, and it now runs an inpatient mental health hospital in Bengaluru as well. Therapists and psychiatrists work as one team, and care is available in many Indian languages, which helps people who want to talk in their first language. Services cover adults, children and teens, couples and families, and Amaha also sells programmes to employers and schools. The app adds mood tracking, self-guided plans and a moderated community between sessions. Sessions are paid individually rather than through a subscription. Amaha was started in 2016 by a psychiatrist and now offers online therapy to people outside India too, though its pricing, languages and centres are built mainly around Indian users.
