About Basedash

Basedash began as an admin panel for editing database rows and has since rebuilt itself as an AI-native BI platform. You connect a warehouse such as Snowflake or one of hundreds of SaaS sources, define metrics in a semantic layer, and then anyone on the team can ask a question in plain English and get a chart, a dashboard or a written answer that shows the SQL behind it. It also offers a managed warehouse with built-in data ingestion, anomaly alerts posted to Slack or email, embedded analytics for your own product and an MCP server so other AI agents can query your data. It is aimed at startups and mid-sized companies that want self-serve analytics without hiring a BI team. Pricing is a flat team tier covering up to 25 users plus usage-based AI credits, with custom enterprise contracts that add self-hosting, embedding and SSO. There is a 14-day trial but no free plan, which makes it a bigger commitment than open-source tools like Metabase.

Best for: Startups that want AI-powered self-serve dashboards without per-seat BI licences.
