About BharatPe
BharatPe is an Indian fintech company focused on small offline merchants such as kirana stores, chemists and restaurants. Its core product is a single QR code that accepts payments from any UPI app, offered free, with a speaker that announces each payment aloud. For cards it offers the BharatPe Swipe card machine and BharatPe One, a single device that combines card acceptance, QR and the speaker. Merchants track collections in the BharatPe for Business app and can apply for business loans, and the company also runs consumer products such as a UPI app, bill payments and a co-branded credit card. It suits small shops that want simple in-person payments and access to credit rather than a full billing or inventory system. It only operates in India and has no online checkout gateway for websites.
