About Bookly

Bookly is a WordPress plugin for online appointment booking that has been on the market since 2014. A booking form on your site walks customers through service, staff member, time and payment, and the admin side lets you manage staff schedules, services, customers and notifications. The paid Pro version adds features such as Google and Outlook calendar sync, online payments, custom fields, recurring appointments and staff cabinets, and many more capabilities come as separately sold add-ons. Licences are priced per number of sites, either as yearly renewals or one-time purchases, with a 30-day money-back guarantee; the developer also runs Bookly Cloud services for SMS and other hosted extras. Because it lives in WordPress, your data stays on your own hosting, but setup, updates and compatibility with your theme and other plugins are up to you. The add-on model can make the total cost harder to predict than an all-inclusive SaaS subscription.

Best for: WordPress site owners who want booking on their own site with one-off licensing.
