About Cognito Forms
Cognito Forms is a US-based form builder that is popular with small businesses, nonprofits and government offices that need forms to do real work. It handles complex calculations, repeating sections for things like line items or family members, conditional logic, payments, e-signatures and saved progress, and its workflow features route entries through review and approval steps with role-based access. Entries can generate customised documents and be shared with guests outside your organisation. Compliance options include HIPAA, GDPR and CCPA support on higher tiers. A free plan allows unlimited forms with limits on entries and features, and paid Pro, Team and Enterprise plans add more users, entries and workflow tools; extra users and guest access are priced as add-ons. Design options are more practical than beautiful, and it is less suited to marketing-style conversational forms. It runs in the browser, and forms can be embedded anywhere. It suits organisations replacing paper processes with calculated, multi-step forms.
Best for: Small organisations that need calculations, repeating sections and approval workflows.
