About Qualtrics

Qualtrics is the enterprise standard for survey research and experience management. Its survey engine handles advanced logic, randomisation, quotas, conjoint and MaxDiff studies, and its analytics include statistical tools, text analysis and AI-driven insights. On top of that sit products for customer experience, employee experience, brand and product research, often connected to CRMs and HR systems across a whole company. Universities frequently provide accounts to students and staff. A free account lets anyone try the survey builder, with tight limits on responses, question types and active surveys, but serious use is sold through custom annual contracts that are expensive and negotiated with sales. The platform is powerful but complex, with a learning curve and admin overhead. It runs in the browser, with mobile apps for offline data collection. It suits large companies and research teams that need rigorous methods and organisation-wide feedback programmes; small teams will usually find it excessive.

Best for: Large organisations and researchers running rigorous, organisation-wide feedback programmes.
