About Formbricks
Formbricks is an open-source alternative to tools like Qualtrics and Hotjar surveys. It lets product and research teams run link surveys, website pop-up surveys and in-app surveys targeted at specific users or actions, such as an NPS question after onboarding or a cancellation survey. Targeting uses events and attributes sent from your app through SDKs, and results can be analysed in the dashboard or sent to tools like Slack, Notion, Airtable and webhooks. Being privacy-first and self-hostable is the main pitch: you can run it on your own infrastructure with Docker, which appeals to European public bodies and companies with strict data rules, or use the managed cloud hosted in Germany. The cloud has a free tier and paid plans by responses and workspaces; some enterprise features in the self-hosted version need a paid licence. It is less suited to general business forms with payments or approvals. It runs in the browser.
