About DeskTime
DeskTime starts tracking as soon as an employee's computer is on, recording which apps, websites and documents are used and classifying them as productive, unproductive or neutral per team. Managers see arrival and leave times, productivity percentages, idle time and project time, and higher plans add screenshots, shift scheduling, absence calendars, integrations and an API. Employees can also start project timers and use built-in Pomodoro reminders. It is sold to companies rather than individuals, with Pro, Premium and Enterprise plans priced per user per month and discounts for annual billing, and a 14-day free trial. Desktop apps run on Windows, Mac and Linux, with mobile apps and a web dashboard. It is quick to roll out because there is little to configure, but its productivity scores depend on how carefully categories are set, and always-on tracking with screenshots is a monitoring approach some teams won't accept.
Best for: Companies that want automatic attendance and productivity data with minimal setup.
