About solidtime

solidtime is a newer open-source time tracker made in Europe that aims to match the ease of commercial tools like Toggl. It covers timers and manual entries, clients, projects and tasks, billable rates at several levels, project estimates, reports with sharing, CSV and PDF export, imports from Toggl, Clockify and others, and invoicing on higher plans. A desktop app for Windows, macOS and Linux adds a menu-bar timer and optional automatic activity tracking. You can self-host it for free with Docker under the AGPL-3.0 licence, or use the hosted cloud, which has a free Solo plan for individuals and paid per-user plans for teams that bill clients. Being young, it has fewer integrations and no native mobile apps yet, and self-hosters handle their own updates and backups. It suits teams that want a polished tracker without per-seat lock-in, or organisations that need their time data on their own servers.

Best for: Teams that want a Toggl-style tracker they can self-host or use in EU-run hosting.
