About floccus

floccus is a free and open-source browser extension and mobile app for keeping bookmarks and tabs in sync across different browsers and devices without handing them to a browser vendor. Rather than running its own cloud, it syncs through storage you pick: a Nextcloud Bookmarks server, Linkwarden or Karakeep, a WebDAV share, a Git repository over HTTPS, Google Drive or Dropbox. Several of these options support end-to-end encryption, and it preserves bookmark order. It works with Chrome-based browsers and Firefox; Safari is not supported because of technical limits. The Android and iOS apps keep a synced bookmark folder inside the app rather than in mobile browsers. There are no ads and no data collection, and the project is maintained by volunteers led by its creator. It suits people who use several browsers, or who left a vendor's sync, and want their bookmarks stored somewhere they control.

Best for: People who use several browsers and want bookmark sync through storage they control.
