About linkding

linkding is a self-hosted bookmark manager designed to be minimal, fast and easy to set up. It runs as one Docker container backed by SQLite by default, with PostgreSQL as an option, and the image works on ARM boards such as a Raspberry Pi. The interface is a plain, readable list where you add links with tags and notes and find them again with quick search; titles, descriptions and icons are fetched automatically. It can archive snapshots of each bookmarked page as a local HTML file or on the Internet Archive, supports bulk edits, and imports and exports the standard Netscape HTML bookmark format. Multiple users can share bookmarks with each other or with guests. Firefox and Chrome extensions let you add and search bookmarks from the browser, and a REST API supports scripts and third-party apps. It is free and MIT-licensed, with no hosted service. It suits self-hosters who want a reliable bookmark store without extra features to maintain.

Best for: Self-hosters who want a simple, low-maintenance bookmark store.
