About GlitchTip

GlitchTip is an open-source error tracker that speaks the Sentry protocol, so you can point existing Sentry SDKs at it and keep your instrumentation. It covers error grouping and alerts, basic performance monitoring, uptime checks and content security policy reports, without the large feature surface of modern Sentry. That trade-off is the point: a self-hosted install needs only PostgreSQL, the web and worker services and optionally Valkey or Redis, which is far lighter than Sentry's self-hosted bundle. You can run it with Docker Compose or a Helm chart, use one-click hosts, or pay for the hosted version, which has a free tier for small projects and inexpensive monthly plans by event volume. It suits budget-conscious teams and organisations that must keep error data on their own servers. The project is small and community-funded, so expect fewer features and integrations than commercial tools.

Best for: Teams that want Sentry-compatible error tracking on their own server with minimal overhead.
