About JMP

JMP is a desktop statistics package built around linked, interactive graphs: select points in one chart and they are highlighted in every other chart and table. It covers data cleanup, visual exploration, regression and other modelling, design of experiments, reliability and quality analysis, and has a scripting language (JSL) for automating repeat work. JMP Pro adds predictive modelling and machine learning, JMP Live is a server for sharing reports across an organisation, and JMP Clinical targets clinical trial review. It runs on Windows and macOS. JMP is sold as an annual subscription with a 30-day free trial, and a Student Edition is free for qualifying students and teachers. It is popular in chemical, semiconductor, pharmaceutical and manufacturing companies, where engineers want strong statistics and experimental design without writing code. People who need publication-style scripted research workflows usually pair it with, or choose, R or Stata.

Best for: Scientists and engineers who want visual, point-and-click statistics and design of experiments.
