About Okta Workforce Identity
Okta Workforce Identity is the cloud identity platform many companies use to give employees one login for all their work apps. Its core is single sign-on backed by the Okta Integration Network, a catalogue of thousands of prebuilt app connections, plus adaptive multi-factor authentication, a universal directory and lifecycle management that creates and removes accounts as people join or leave. Workflows automate identity tasks without code, and add-ons cover identity governance, privileged access and device access. Okta is vendor-neutral, which appeals to companies that mix Google, Microsoft and other tools. It is sold in per-user suites billed annually with a contract minimum, so it suits organisations with an IT team rather than very small companies. Everything runs in Okta's cloud, with browser and mobile apps for end users. Okta also owns Auth0, which it sells separately for customer-facing login.
