About rclone
rclone is a command-line program, often described as rsync for cloud storage, that copies, syncs, moves and checks files between your computer and more than 70 storage services, or between services directly. It supports Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, S3-compatible storage, Backblaze B2, Box, pCloud, MEGA, SFTP, WebDAV and many more, verifies transfers with checksums, and can mount any remote as a local drive. Wrappers add client-side encryption, chunking and union views over several remotes, and an optional web interface exists. rclone is free and open source under the MIT licence. It runs on Windows, macOS, Linux and BSD. It is a utility rather than a storage service, so you still need accounts somewhere, and it has a learning curve for people unused to the command line. For migrating between clouds or scripting backups, it is hard to beat.
Best for: Power users moving or syncing data between cloud providers.
