About Tresorit

Tresorit is an end-to-end encrypted storage and collaboration service aimed mainly at businesses that handle sensitive files, such as law firms, healthcare and HR teams. Every file is encrypted on the device before upload, and the company operates under Swiss privacy law with a choice of data residency regions for business customers. It adds controls that consumer encrypted services lack: admin policies, device management, detailed sharing permissions, encrypted email attachments for Gmail and Outlook, e-signatures and data rooms. Personal plans exist too, with modest storage and per-file limits on the entry tier. There is no free plan, only trials, and prices sit above mainstream storage. Desktop apps cover Windows, macOS and Linux, plus iOS, Android and the web. It is a strong fit for regulated teams, and expensive for someone who just wants private personal storage.

Best for: Regulated businesses that must share confidential files securely.
