About Yandex Disk
Yandex Disk is the cloud drive from Russian technology company Yandex, part of its Yandex 360 suite with mail, calendar and documents. It offers a free tier, folder sync on computers, sharing links and online editing, and paid Pro plans add more space, larger uploads, ad-free use and unlimited uploads of photos and videos from your phone. It is widely used in Russia and nearby countries, where it competes with Google Drive. Apps run on Windows, macOS, Android, iOS and the web, and Linux has a console client. For users outside that region the main concerns are jurisdiction and access: data is subject to Russian law, payment can be difficult from some countries, and sanctions have affected availability of services. Feature-wise it is a capable, inexpensive drive with generous photo handling.
Best for: Users in Russia and nearby countries already using Yandex services.
