About Airbrake
Airbrake is one of the earliest hosted error trackers, originally popular in the Ruby on Rails world and now part of LogicMonitor. It captures errors from most common languages and frameworks, groups them, shows backtraces with parameters and environment details, and highlights which deploy introduced an issue. Lightweight performance monitoring adds route timing, database query breakdowns and background job stats, which is enough for many web apps without a full APM product. Integrations cover Slack, GitHub, Jira, PagerDuty and others. It does what it says reliably, but development has been slower than at Sentry or Rollbar, and the interface shows its age. There is no free plan; pricing is monthly by error and performance event volume with tiers for users and teams, and a free trial that requires a credit card. It is a hosted web service.
Best for: Web teams wanting straightforward error tracking with light performance stats.
