About Apple Reminders

Reminders comes with every Apple device and has grown from a basic checklist into a capable personal task manager. It supports subtasks, tags, flags, dates, times and location-based alerts, smart lists that filter by tags or dates, sections inside lists, and a column (board) view. Grocery lists sort items into categories automatically, lists can be shared with other iCloud users, and tasks in shared lists can be assigned to people. Siri, widgets and the Calendar app can create reminders, and newer versions add Apple Intelligence features. Everything syncs through iCloud at no extra cost. The catch is the ecosystem: there is no Windows or Android app (only limited access through iCloud.com in a browser), no natural-language parsing as good as dedicated apps, and no projects with deadlines or review workflows. For many Apple users it is enough, and apps like GoodTask build extra views on top of the same data.

Best for: Apple users who want a free task list that works with Siri and shared family lists.
