About Atome

Atome is a buy now, pay later service run from Singapore and used across several Southeast Asian markets. At checkout with partner retailers, online or in a physical shop, a shopper can split the bill into three instalments with no interest, or choose a longer plan that carries a small fee. Payments, due dates and spending are tracked in the Atome app. The merchant list leans towards fashion, beauty, electronics, lifestyle and travel brands, and the app doubles as a shopping directory with deals. A rewards layer called Atome+ adds points, cashback and in-app games. For shoppers the basic three-way split is free if paid on time; retailers pay Atome to offer it. Atome is part of Atome Financial and the wider Advance Intelligence Group. It only works with participating merchants, so it suits people who shop regularly at the brands it partners with rather than as a general credit line.

Best for: Shoppers in Singapore and nearby markets who want to split purchases at partner brands without interest.
