About Zilch
Zilch is a London-based payments app that combines buy now, pay later with a Mastercard you can use almost anywhere, rather than only at partner shops. After a quick credit check you get a spending limit and choose, purchase by purchase, whether to pay now and earn cashback rewards, spread the cost over six weeks, or pay over three months. Payments run through a virtual card in Apple Pay or Google Pay, a physical card, or Zilch's own app, which also lists deals and voucher codes. Zilch says it charges no interest or late fees, but fees can apply to some spreads and at some retailers, and the representative APR on its credit agreement is published on its site. The basic Standard plan is free, with paid monthly tiers that add more rewards and extras such as priority support. It is aimed at UK residents aged 18 or over and is authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority.
Best for: UK shoppers who want pay-later options and cashback at any store that takes Mastercard.
