About Jottacloud
Jottacloud is a Norwegian service that combines cloud storage, computer backup and phone photo backup in one account. Data is stored in Norway in data centres powered by renewable energy, and the company highlights European privacy law. Its best-known plan is Unlimited, which has no hard storage cap but slows upload speed as your stored total grows, which matters if you plan to push many terabytes. Backups can cover entire computers and external drives, alongside a synced folder and photo timeline. There is a small free plan, personal plans priced in Norwegian kroner (shown in other currencies by region), and business plans. Apps run on Windows, macOS and Linux (command-line), iOS, Android and the web. The interface is simple and support is responsive, but sharing and collaboration features are limited compared with Dropbox or Google Drive.
Best for: People who want backup and storage in one, with data kept in Norway.
