About Ledger Wallet
Ledger Wallet, formerly Ledger Live, is the companion app for Ledger's hardware signers such as the Nano, Flex and Stax. It lets you install coin apps on your device, send and receive crypto, track a portfolio across thousands of coins and tokens, and buy, sell, swap and stake through integrated partner services, with every transaction approved on the device so private keys stay offline. It also connects to DeFi apps and web3 services through built-in integrations. The app is free to download with no subscription; you buy a Ledger device separately, and fees apply to trades done through third-party providers. It runs on Windows, macOS and Linux and on iOS and Android, with Bluetooth on supported devices. It suits people who want broad coin coverage in a polished app. The app works only with Ledger devices, and Ledger's device firmware is closed source, which some self-custody users see as a drawback.
