About Locus Map

Locus Map is a navigation app built for the outdoors rather than city driving. It offers a wide choice of online and offline maps, including its own OpenStreetMap-based LoMaps and national topographic maps such as Ordnance Survey, plus offline routing, a route planner, detailed track recording and export to Strava. The Android app is the full version, with sport dashboards, Bluetooth and ANT+ sensor support, an audio coach, geocaching tools and control from Garmin, Wear OS and Tizen watches. On iPhone there is Locus Map Lite, which covers maps, recording and the shared library but has fewer features. A web planner syncs routes across devices. The app is free with ads and limits; paid Silver and Gold subscriptions remove ads and unlock all offline LoMaps, multi-device sync, live tracking and satellite maps. It suits hikers, bikers and geocachers who want deep customisation, though the many options take time to learn.

Best for: Hikers, cyclists and geocachers on Android who want offline maps and deep customisation.
