About Optimizely

Optimizely popularised A/B testing for websites and is now a broad digital experience platform. Its Web Experimentation product lets marketers change pages in a visual editor and run A/B and multivariate tests without developers, while Feature Experimentation gives engineering teams server-side flags and tests in code. The platform also includes personalisation, a content management system, a commerce product and AI agents that help generate test ideas and variations. It is used by large brands in retail, media, finance and travel that run many experiments and want governance across teams. Every plan is individually packaged and quoted by sales, so there is no self-serve option or public price, and contracts are typically sized for enterprise budgets. Smaller companies often find the cost and setup hard to justify. It runs in the browser, with SDKs for web, mobile and server languages.

Best for: Large brands running many web and product experiments with governance.
