About LaunchDarkly

LaunchDarkly is the market leader in feature flags. Developers wrap code in flags, then product and engineering teams turn features on for specific users, run percentage rollouts, kill a broken release instantly, or schedule launches without redeploying. Around flagging it has built release guardrails that watch error and performance metrics, experimentation, approval workflows and audit logs for regulated teams, and configuration tools for prompts and models in AI applications. SDKs cover essentially every language and platform, and its streaming architecture is designed for very high scale. A free Developer plan covers small projects with unlimited seats, the Foundation plan is pay-as-you-go priced on service connections and client-side users, and Enterprise is negotiated. Costs can rise steeply for large client-side user counts, and smaller teams often find cheaper or open-source flag tools sufficient. It runs in the browser, with a CLI and integrations for common developer tools.

Best for: Engineering organisations that need governed feature releases at scale.
