About Proton Calendar

Proton Calendar is the calendar in Proton's privacy suite, alongside Proton Mail, Drive, VPN and Pass. Event details such as titles, descriptions, locations and participants are end-to-end encrypted, so Proton cannot read them, and the company is based in Switzerland under Swiss privacy law. It supports multiple calendars, sharing with other Proton users or via links, invitations to people outside Proton, importing from Google or other ICS sources, subscribing to external calendars, and appointment booking pages on paid plans. A free account includes the calendar with limits on the number of calendars, and paid Proton plans raise limits and bundle the other Proton apps. It runs on the web, iOS and Android, and on Mac, Windows and Linux through Proton's desktop apps. The encryption means some conveniences are missing: third-party calendar clients can't sync directly over CalDAV, and integrations with other productivity tools are limited compared with Google Calendar.

Best for: Privacy-minded people and teams who want encrypted calendars, ideally with Proton Mail.
