About Fantastical

Fantastical, from Flexibits, is a calendar app that made its name by letting you type an event the way you'd say it, such as "lunch with Sam Friday at noon", and get it filled in correctly. It combines iCloud, Google, Exchange and other calendars with tasks from iCloud Reminders, Todoist and Google Tasks in one list, and adds calendar sets for switching between work and personal views, weather in the calendar, time-to-leave alerts, widgets and Apple Watch support. Premium features include scheduling with Openings booking links, meeting proposals, Zoom and Teams integration and richer customisation. A free version covers the basics. The premium subscription is sold for individuals, families of up to five and teams, with a 14-day trial, and the same subscription unlocks Flexibits' contacts app Cardhop. It runs on Mac, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Windows, and Flexibits says an Android version is planned for 2027. The subscription model has been unpopular with some long-time users.

Best for: Apple users who want the most refined calendar with natural-language input and tasks.
