About Apple Calendar

Apple Calendar is the free calendar app that ships with every Mac, iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. It pulls together iCloud, Google, Exchange and other CalDAV accounts into one view, lets you create separate colour-coded calendars for different parts of life, share calendars with family and send or accept invitations. Recent versions show scheduled reminders alongside events, support Siri suggestions from Mail and Messages, display holidays and birthdays, and offer Chinese, Hebrew and Islamic lunar calendars. A web version exists at iCloud.com for when you're away from your devices. It is free and needs no setup if you already use iCloud. The downsides are the limits of a built-in app: no natural-language power features, no booking links, basic time-zone and task handling, and no apps for Android or Windows beyond the browser. Many Apple users stick with it for its simplicity and add a more capable client from this list when they need more.

Best for: Apple device owners who want a simple free calendar that syncs through iCloud.
