About Tuta Calendar

Tuta Calendar is the calendar from Tuta, the German secure email provider formerly called Tutanota. Events are stored encrypted, and it is available as part of a Tuta account or through a dedicated calendar app for Android and iPhone, with open-source desktop clients for Windows, macOS and Linux and a browser version. It covers recurring events, reminders pushed to your devices, sharing calendars with other users, sending event invitations, optionally encrypted for outside recipients using a shared password, and offline access. The free plan includes one calendar; paid personal plans add more calendars, sharing and storage alongside the email features, and business plans add multi-user administration. The Android app can also be downloaded as an APK from GitHub for people avoiding Google Play. Like Proton, encryption limits interoperability: you can't simply connect it to other calendar apps over CalDAV, and the feature set is basic compared with Google or Outlook.

Best for: Privacy-focused users who want an encrypted calendar with open-source apps.
