About QuickBooks Time

QuickBooks Time is Intuit's time tracking product, originally TSheets. Employees clock in and out on the Workforce mobile app, a web dashboard or a kiosk, with GPS location tracking, job and customer codes, breaks and overtime. Managers build schedules, handle time off, approve timesheets and see who is working where in real time, and the hours flow into QuickBooks Online payroll and invoicing, which is the main reason to choose it. Elite plans add project tracking, geofencing, mileage and more reporting. Pricing combines a monthly base fee, which includes one admin, with a per-user charge, and Intuit often runs introductory discounts; there is no free plan. It runs on the web, iOS and Android. It is aimed at US small businesses with hourly or field staff, especially those already on QuickBooks; outside that ecosystem the price is hard to justify compared with standalone trackers.

Best for: QuickBooks businesses with hourly or field staff who need hours in payroll.
