About Timemator
Timemator is an indie time tracker for freelancers on Apple devices. It combines regular timers and manual entries with automatic tracking: you set rules based on apps, documents or websites, and Timemator starts and stops timers for the right project on its own. An activity timeline remembers what you worked on so you can fill gaps later, and reports, billable rates and exports cover invoicing needs. The Mac app is a one-time purchase that you can activate on two devices, with a separate one-time purchase for the iOS app and a student discount, and there is a free 30-day trial. The automatic activity timeline is Mac-only, there is no Windows, Android or web version, and team features are minimal. It suits solo workers who want automation without a subscription.
Best for: Solo Mac users who want rule-based automatic timers without a subscription.
