About Tyme
Tyme is a native time tracker for Apple devices. You organise work by client, project and task, start timers from the menu bar, a widget or Apple Watch, or add entries by hand. Billing features include hourly rates, budgets, rounding, and exports or integrations for invoicing, and reports break down time and revenue per client. Team features allow shared projects, and a plugin system adds imports and exports to other tools. Pricing is a subscription (monthly or yearly), and you can download a fully functional free trial for 14 days that syncs across your Macs, iPads and iPhones. The developers say more than 50,000 people use it. It is only available on Apple platforms, so it does not suit mixed Windows or Android teams, and it relies on timers rather than automatic activity tracking.
Best for: Freelancers on Mac and iPhone who want native timers and simple billing.
