About Whale
Whale is a platform for documenting standard operating procedures and training staff on them. Teams create SOPs by writing from scratch, recording their screen, importing a video or uploading existing documents, and Whale's AI helps turn those into step-by-step guides. Content can be grouped into training flows with quizzes and sign-off, attached as checklists to recurring work, and shown contextually inside other tools. An AI assistant called Coral answers employee questions with links back to the source documents, and an MCP server and API let AI agents use the same knowledge. It is used by operations, HR, IT and finance teams, including frontline and warehouse staff on mobile. A free plan allows one creator and up to ten members; paid plans are billed per month with a set number of creators and charges for extra creators, adding features like e-signatures, SSO and granular permissions. Data can be hosted in the EU or US.
Best for: Operations and HR teams documenting SOPs and onboarding staff on them.
