About Xendit
Xendit is a payments company built for businesses selling in Southeast Asia, where cards are only one of many ways people pay. Through one API and dashboard it accepts local methods such as bank virtual accounts, QRIS and PromptPay QR codes, e-wallets like OVO, GrabPay and ShopeePay, buy-now-pay-later providers and cards, across Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam. It also handles the other direction with payouts to bank accounts and wallets, including batch payouts from a spreadsheet upload. No-code tools include payment links and recurring subscriptions, and xenPlatform lets marketplaces route money to sub-merchants. There is no monthly fee; Xendit charges per transaction, with rates that differ by country and payment method. It suits startups, marketplaces and larger merchants that need regional coverage, while businesses selling mainly to the US or Europe will usually find Stripe or Adyen a more natural fit.
Best for: Businesses selling across Indonesia, the Philippines and wider Southeast Asia that need local payment methods.

Pros and cons
What works
- Deep coverage of Southeast Asian e-wallets, QR codes and bank virtual accounts
- Payouts and collections through the same API
- Payment links and subscriptions work without writing code
- xenPlatform supports marketplace split payments
Why people leave
- Coverage outside Southeast Asia is limited compared with global gateways
- Fees vary by country and method, so pricing takes work to compare
- Main marketing site blocks automated checks; detail lives in the docs
