About Constant Contact

Constant Contact is one of the oldest email marketing services, aimed at small businesses, nonprofits and local organisations. It offers a drag-and-drop editor with many templates, list building forms, basic automations, SMS, social posting, event registration and simple reporting, and is known for phone and chat support that helps less technical users. Plans (Lite, Standard and Premium) are billed monthly by contact tier, each with a monthly send cap and a small per-email overage fee beyond it; there is a free trial but no free plan. It is easy to learn, but automation and segmentation are basic compared with ActiveCampaign or Klaviyo, and it is not cheap for what it includes. The company also owns other marketing tools, including Moosend. People often stay for the support and familiarity, and move to cheaper tools once they are comfortable doing things themselves.

Best for: Small businesses and nonprofits that value hands-on support over advanced features.
