About Wayfair
Wayfair is a large online home store selling furniture, rugs, lighting, bedding, appliances, outdoor gear and home improvement supplies from thousands of suppliers, alongside its own house brands. It also runs a family of sister sites aimed at different tastes and budgets, from AllModern and Birch Lane to the high-end Perigold. Shopping is free: you browse on the website or the iPhone and Android apps and pay per order, with frequent flash sales and big seasonal events. An optional paid Wayfair Rewards membership gives a percentage back on purchases plus members-only sales, and the store credit card unlocks the same perks. Mattresses come with a long home trial. Wayfair is strongest in the US, with sites in Canada and the UK, and has started opening a small number of large physical stores. The trade-offs: quality varies a lot between third-party suppliers, many items need home assembly, and returning bulky furniture can be slow or costly.
Best for: US shoppers furnishing a home who want a huge choice of styles and price points in one place.
