About Countly
Countly is a product analytics and engagement platform that puts data ownership first. Its free Countly Lite edition is open source and self-hosted, giving you event analytics, sessions, crash reporting, user profiles and dashboards on your own servers. The paid editions add advanced analytics such as funnels, cohorts, retention and A/B testing, plus engagement tools like push notifications, in-app messaging and surveys. Countly is strongest for mobile apps and is also used for desktop software, smart TVs, connected devices and digital wallets, which many web-centric tools handle poorly. Companies in finance, healthcare, government and telecoms pick it to meet data residency rules. The Flex plan runs on a private cloud with a monthly price and free trial, and Enterprise can be installed on-premise. Running Lite yourself needs some server skills, and the free edition leaves out many of the analysis features that make paid plans attractive. Dashboards run in the browser.
Best for: Regulated or privacy-minded teams that need app analytics on their own servers.
