About OpenPanel

OpenPanel combines simple web analytics, in the style of Plausible, with event-based product analytics like Mixpanel: page views and referrers on one side, custom events, funnels, retention, user profiles and dashboards on the other. It is cookieless by default and has SDKs for web frameworks, React Native and backend languages, plus an API for exporting data. It is a young, fast-moving open-source project licensed under AGPL-3.0, and can be self-hosted with Docker Compose, Coolify, Dokploy or Kubernetes at no cost. The hosted cloud is priced by monthly event volume with everything else unlimited, and comes with a free trial. It is a good fit for indie developers and small product teams who want both kinds of analytics without paying enterprise prices, though it lacks the depth, integrations and support of established vendors. Dashboards run in the browser.

Best for: Indie developers and small teams wanting web and product analytics in one cheap tool.
