About Ellie

Ellie is a daily planner from an independent maker, built for people who have a lot going on and want a simple place to sort it. You start by dumping everything into a list, then drag tasks into specific days and into time slots alongside your Google or Apple calendar events, with a timebox mode for planning hour by hour. It supports recurring tasks, subtasks, labels, a brain-dump area, reminders and an AI assistant, and it is deliberately less complex than heavier planners. There is no free plan: Ellie Pro is billed monthly or yearly after a seven-day trial, and a lifetime option is available as a one-time payment, with discounts for students, teachers and nonprofits. It runs on the web, Mac, Windows, iPhone and iPad, with no Android app. Ellie suits people who like the Sunsama or Akiflow style of planning but want something lighter and cheaper, though integrations with other task tools are limited.

Best for: Individuals who want a simple brain-dump and timeboxing planner beside their calendar.
