About Eppo

Eppo is an experimentation platform built for data teams. Instead of copying events into a vendor's database, it runs its analysis directly on your data warehouse, such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks or Redshift, using metric definitions your analysts govern centrally. It offers feature flags for assigning users, advanced statistics including CUPED and sequential testing, contextual bandits, and reporting designed to make results trustworthy across a whole organisation. Datadog acquired Eppo in 2025, and the product is now sold as Datadog Experiments, joining Datadog's monitoring and product analytics tools. Pricing has always been quote-based for mid-sized and large companies. It is best for organisations that already have a well-modelled warehouse and want experiments to use the same numbers as their finance and BI reports; teams without a warehouse will struggle to get value from it. It runs in the browser with SDKs for web, mobile and server languages.

Best for: Data teams that want experiments analysed on their own warehouse metrics.
