About Mailcoach
Mailcoach is an email marketing tool from Spatie, a Belgian agency known for its open-source Laravel packages. It covers campaigns, newsletters with a Markdown or visual editor, automations, lists and segments, transactional email templates and an extensive API, with a clean interface that developers in particular like. Its pricing differs from most rivals: instead of charging per contact, it charges a monthly base price that includes a number of emails, then a small fee per extra email sent, with unlimited contacts, lists and automations. That makes it much cheaper for large lists that are mailed infrequently. You can send through Mailcoach's own infrastructure or connect your own provider such as Amazon SES, Postmark or Mailgun. There is a free trial but no free plan. It is a small team's product, so integrations, templates and reporting are lighter than Mailchimp or MailerLite.
Best for: Developers and teams with large lists who want to pay per email sent.
