About Mezmo

Mezmo, formerly known as LogDNA, sells a commercial telemetry platform made up of log management, telemetry pipelines and Mezmo Edge, which runs pipelines inside your own network close to where data is produced. The pipelines take in logs, metrics and traces from OpenTelemetry and other sources, strip noise, transform and route them to whichever destinations a team chooses, which helps cut the bill of downstream tools. The company now leads with AURA, an open-source SRE agent harness written in Rust that runs on a laptop, in Docker or in Kubernetes and connects to tools such as PagerDuty, Datadog and Kubernetes over MCP. Mezmo's pitch is that its pipeline cleans and clusters telemetry so AI agents get useful context, and that AI root cause analysis is included rather than billed per query. Pricing is quote-based, set by data volume and retention. It is used through the web app.

Best for: Platform and SRE teams that want to trim and route telemetry before it reaches costly observability tools..

Pros and cons

What works

  • Pipelines can route data to any destination, avoiding vendor lock-in
  • AI root cause analysis included in the platform licence
  • AURA agent is open source under Apache 2.0

Why people leave

  • No public price list; pricing needs a sales conversation
  • Recent focus on AI agents makes the core log product harder to evaluate
  • Smaller dashboarding and APM features than full observability suites
