About Kissmetrics
Kissmetrics is one of the older analytics products, built around people rather than sessions or pageviews. Every event is tied to an identified person, so you can follow someone from the campaign that brought them in, through sign-up and trial, to payment and renewal, and see which channels produce paying customers rather than just visits. Reports cover funnels, cohorts, populations of reusable user groups and revenue, and newer features let you ask questions in plain English or from an AI assistant. It targets SaaS, ecommerce and lead-generation businesses, and markets itself partly as a fix for frustrations with Google Analytics 4. There is a free plan with a monthly event allowance and a few seats, and a Growth plan priced by event volume with unlimited seats. It is less suited to deep in-product analysis of complex apps, and its interface feels dated next to newer tools. It runs in the browser.
Best for: SaaS and ecommerce marketers tying campaigns to paying customers.
